Chapter 10: Top the List. Win the Click.

Stop Playing Hide-and-Seek with Customers

How do I make sure people find me and like what they see?

A checklist graphic titled "The Five Pages Every Business Website Needs to Be Found and Chosen." Lists the essential elements for each page: Home, About, Services or Products, Contact, and a FAQ or Resources page, with specific AI-powered improvements noted for each.

Chapter Recap

When people search, you want to show up and get picked. This chapter helps with both. First, fix your website words so they speak to the customer, not about you. Five key pages do most of the work. Then set up your Google Business Profile, which many owners ignore. It is free, and it helps people find you. Clear pages and a strong profile turn searches into customers.

1. Rewrite Your Homepage: speak to the customer, not about you

Your Move

Open your website and work through each of the four pages: Home, About, Services or Products, and Contact. Copy the existing text for each page and run it through the relevant prompt from this chapter. Then open your Google Business Profile (search your business name in Google and click “Edit Profile”) and check that your description, services list, and photos are complete. If you sell products online, run your top three product descriptions through the product prompt. None of these tasks take more than twenty minutes each.
